4th of July Events

In case you haven’t planned your upcoming holiday weekend, here is a list of local events in and around the Valley of the Sun. My team and I would like to wish all of you a very happy and safe 4th of July!

Freedom Wireless Fabulous Phoenix Fourth
Located at Steele Indian Park
300 E Indian School Road, Phoenix
Monday July 4th starting at 6:00pm to 10:00pm
Patriotic Program will include an F-16 flyover, local musical entertainers, water spray zone, inflatable rides, three stages of entertainment and a Classic Car exhibit. The fireworks begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. * Admission is free

Ahwatukee Star Spangled Bicycle Parade
Located at Ahwatukee Park
4700 E Warner Rd, Phoenix
Sunday, July 3rd starting at 5:30pm, parade will begin at 6:00pm
Come enjoy patriotic decorated bicycles, strollers, wagons, skateboards or anything else with wheels (non-motorized). *Admission is free

Light Up the Sky
Located at Maryvale Baseball Park
3600 N 51st Ave, Phoenix
Friday, July 1st starting at 6:30pm, fireworks will begin at 9:10pm
Celebrating for over 20 years, Light Up the Sky offers live mariachis band performances, food and games for the kidos.

Independence Day Fireworks Show and Car Show
Located at Victory Lane Sports Park
22603 N 43rd Ave, Phoenix
Saturday, July 2nd starting at 7:00pm, fireworks will begin at 9:00pm
Art of Noize car show will feature late-model cars and drop-down pickup trucks. Food and beer will be available. Chairs and blankets are welcome. A deck with misters is available at the sports bar. *$4.00 admission

Celebration of Freedom
Located at Heritage Lane
58 W Main St, Mesa
Saturday & Sunday, July 2nd & 3rd starting at 6:00pm
This festival is jam packed with all kind of great ways to celebrate from beer gardens to music to an art walk, games and family activities. Heritage Lane will be filled with inflatable replicas of America's greatest monuments, a 35-foot replica of the USS Arizona, the Veterans Honor Walk and Fallen Heroes Memorial. Saturday the events will include Motorcycles on Main and East Valley Tribute to America. Sunday events include the American Iron (pre-1975) Classic Car Show, Salt River Brass Band performance and the Missing Man Ceremony. The weekend festival will end with a Salute to America program and fireworks display. *Admission is free

Anthem Independence Day Celebration
Located at Anthem Community Park
41703 N Gavilan Peak Parkway, Anthem
Saturday, July 2nd starting at 6:00pm, fireworks at 9:30pm
Live music including a performance by the “Anthem Idol” Mr. Dave Hatley! Food and beverages available. *Admission is free

Cave Creek’s Third of July Fireworks
Located at Harold’s Cave Creek Corral
6895 E Cave Creek Road, Cave Creek
Sunday, July 3rd starting at 5:00pm
Cave Creek celebration starts with a BBQ followed by live music with 2 bands, EastonAshe playing outdoors and Young Country playing indoors. Drink specials, prizes, face painting and the Games2UMobile Video Theater. Call for Reservations, 480-488-1906. *Admission is free

Lake Pleasant Fireworks Show
Located at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort
8708 W Harbor Blvd., Peoria
Sunday, July 3rd starting at 5:00pm, fireworks at 9:00pm
Lots of family friendly activities including trackless train rides, bounce houses, water slides and live DJ music. The Perfect Poise Car Club will show off its hot rods and “chopped down” trucks. Food and beverages available. Coolers and lawn chairs are welcome. *Admission is free, parking $10.00

All American Festival
Located at Peoria Sports Complex
16101 N 83rd Ave, Peoria
Monday, July 4th starting at 5:00pm, fireworks 9:15pm
Celebration includes live music, kids zone, water zone, hot-dog eating contest, family activities and an F16 flyover. *Free admission for children under 12 are free and $5.00 for adults.

Fourth of Zoo-Ly
Located at the Phoenix Zoo
455 N Galvin Parkway, Phoenix
Monday, July 4th starting at 6:00pm, fireworks at 9:00pm
Reservations required. Celebration includes a BBQ dinner at the zoo’s lakeside lawn, free carousel rides and access to Stingray Bay. Other fun activities are face painting, bounce houses and music. Tempe Town Lake fireworks start at 9:00pm. Beer and wine available. *Admission free for age 2 and under, $35.00 for ages 3 to 12 and $40.00 for all others

Surprise Fourth of July Celebration
Located at Surprise Stadium
15850 N Bullard Ave, Surprise
Monday, July 4th starting at 5:30pm, fireworks approximately 8:30pm
What says American more then a baseball game? Come watch a Rookie League Baseball game featuring the Texas Rangers vs. the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Stadium gates will open at 4:30pm and the game starts at 5:30pm. Food and beverages will be available at the concession stands. Enjoy a firework show with patriotic music following the game at approximately 8:30pm. Tickets are required, with a limit of 6 per family. Early pick up at the Community & Recreations Services Office is recommended. *Admission is free

Tempe Town Lake Festival
Located at Tempe Town Lake
80 W Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe
Monday, July 4th starting at 4:00pm
Live music from a variety of bands including rock, folk, pop and country. Lots of kid friendly activities, including bounce houses, rock walls, face painting and relay races. VIP packages include misted seats, BBQ dinner and 2 drink tickets. Enjoy fireworks choreographed to patriotic music! Food and beverages available.
