Nate's Monday Morning Message

Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Welcome to Nate’s Monday Morning Message! The holiday season is in full speed and the end of the year is quickly approaching. No matter how you choose to celebrate, this time of year is truly wonderful.  However, it can also be a time filled with stress, anxiety and loneliness; and while we love our families, the stress of the holidays doesn’t always bring out the best in everyone. I love this short story below because it is a powerful reminder that our words have actions, and sometimes those actions can’t be undone. This week I encourage you to pause and take a breath before you speak or react in hast to something that upsets you. Choose your actions, and your words wisely.

From my family to yours, we want to wish you a very merry Christmas, happy Chanukah, happy Kwanza and well wishes for any other way you chose to celebrate the holiday season. Let’s make it a great week!

ENCOURAGEMENT CORNER

A long time ago there was a boy. He was smart, talented and handsome. However, he was very selfish and his temper was so difficult, that nobody wanted to be friends with him. Often he got angry and said various hurtful things to people around him.

The boy‘s parents very concerned about his bad temper. They considered what they could do and one day the father had an idea. He called his son and gave him a hammer and a bag of nails. The father said: “Every time you get angry, take a nail and drive into that old fence as hard as you can.”

The fence was very tough and the hammer was heavy, nevertheless the boy was so furious that during the very first day he has driven 37 nails.

Day after day, week after week, the number of nails was gradually decreasing. After some time, the boy started to understand that holding his temper is easier that driving nails into the fence.

One day the boy didn‘t need hammer and nails anymore as he learned to hold his temper perfectly. So he came to his father and told about his achievement. “Now every time, when you hold your temper all day long, pull out one nail.”

Much time has passed. At last the boy could be proud of himself as all the nails were gone. When he came to his father and told about this, he offered to come and take a careful look at the fence. “You did a good job, my son, but pay your attention to the holes that left from the nails. The fence will never be the same. The same happens when your say hurtful things to people, as your words leave scars in their hearts like those holes in the fence. Remember, we need to treat everyone with love and respect, because it doesn‘t matter, that you say you are sorry, the scars will not disappear.”

Nate's Monday Morning Message

Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Welcome to Nate’s Monday Morning Message! Today I would like to express my deepest appreciation for the thousands of families we have been able to help over the past thirty years. It is a privilege and an honor to celebrate thirty years in the real estate industry.

It would not have been possible without the support, trust and confidence that you have placed in me and my team. We are beyond grateful for the many years of continued success, and above all for the opportunity to help you with the most important decisions you can make - homeownership. Thank you to those of you who joined us in November for our anniversary party. It was great to see some faces we have missed, and reconnected with each of you. As we move into the New Year, we hope you will think of us if you hear of anyone looking to buy or sell a home. We are always grateful for your referrals! Thank you again, and let’s make it a great week!

Nate's Monday Morning Message

Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Welcome to Nate’s Monday Morning Message…I hope that this email finds you well and enjoying the holiday season so far. I love seeing the social media photos showing off the decorations, holiday lights, and of course all the spectacular events that took place over the weekend.

As you know we hosted a food drive for St Mary’s in the month of November. For every $1.00 that is donated, St Mary’s can provide 7 meals for families in our community that are struggling with hunger. Unfortunately, Arizona’s hunger rates are higher than national averages. When compared to 15.9 percent nationally, 17.8 percent of Arizonans are food insecure. Additionally 28.2 percent of Arizona’s children face hunger.

So far our food drive has been able to provide 2,800 meals this holiday season! But there is still more needed, and still time to help. St Mary’s is also looking for volunteers, which is a great way to get involved and give back to our community this holiday season. If you are interested, please email volunteer.services@firstfoodbank.org or call 602-343-3134. If you would like to contribute to our holiday food drive, please click here. Every penny counts; every dollar makes a difference. Let’s make it a great week!

ENCOURAGEMENT CORNER

If we were given 86,400 dollars every day to spend any way we could
And at the end of the day what we didn't spend would be lost to us for good,

What would we do? We wouldn't have to think too hard, or engage in a long discourse
We would take that money, go right out and spend it all, of course!

Each day we are given 86,400 seconds, it's been this way for centuries.
86,400 seconds every day- do with as we please.

There is one caveat, you might say this gift comes with a hidden cost
Whatever time we don't use wisely, at the end of the day is lost.

Yes, it's free and it's ours to spend, no strings attached...however
Whatever time we lose today is time that's lost forever.

Yet such is the nature of this gift- true our daily seconds don't accrue
That when we wake the next morning- each day we start anew.

I believe the lesson we are shown here- since there's no way to extend them
The 86,400 seconds are less important- than how we choose to spend them.
