An Epic Day for the Nate Martinez Team

by Nate Martinez

An Epic Day for the Nate Martinez Team

Yesterday was an epic day for the Nate Martinez Team and I wanted to take a moment to share. We are blessed and honored to have the privilege of serving over 5,000 families buy or sell a home in the past thirty years – in addition, as a co-owner of RE/MAX Professionals, I have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of our agents and their families.

As members of the West Valley Association of REALTORS® (WeMAR), yesterday we were recognized with the Top Sales Volume for a Small Team and received the WeMAR Presidents Round Table award. We share these awards with our many clients, and the people they have referred to us over the years. We couldn’t do what we do without your confidence and trust in our team – thank you!

In addition to winning two outstanding awards, we also launched the beginning of our latest business venture at RE/MAX Professionals – Title Alliance Professionals. The quest to have our own title company has been a dream in the works for many years. To be able to open the doors to TAP is beyond exciting and we are thrilled to create this opportunity for our agents, and our clients. We look forward to serving their title needs with the quality service that we have built our reputation on.

It was a really long, but amazing day as we rounded out the evening by hosting a “by invitation only” open house at our newest luxury listing in Copper Creek Estates. We had over 50 people stop by and we even got to see some clients we haven’t seen in many years. It was a beautiful evening spent in a gorgeous luxury home – to say I am blessed is an understatement. I couldn’t have done it without the help of my awesome team – great job ladies for putting on a stellar event!

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about our luxury marketing plan, any of listings for sale or know of someone who could use our help (no matter what the price range), please give me a call. If you are an agent looking for a change in your real estate culture, please don’t hesitate to contact me for more information about RE/MAX Professionals. Thank you for continued trust and support – Nate

Nate's Monday Morning Message

by Nate Martinez

Nate's Monday Morning Message

“When you look at people who are successful, you will find that they aren't the people who are motivated, but have consistency in their motivation.” - Arsene Wenger

Welcome to this week’s edition of Nate’s Monday Morning Message…Consistency seems to be a word popping up around every corner. Perhaps it’s my reticular activator working in overdrive…or maybe it is just a reminder that in all things, in order to be great we must first learn to be consistent. To dream and set goals is just one piece of the equation. Consistency is where the magic begins to happen, no matter what it is you want to do, be or change in your life. This week, what is one activity you can implement, consistently that will make a positive impact on your life? Let’s make it a great week!

ENCOURAGEMENT CORNER:

WORDS OF INSPIRATION:

“Either you run the day, or the day runs you.” – Jim Rohn

“If you talk to any pitcher, consistency is the most important thing.” - Jamie Moyer

“The advent of Google+ and the emergence of the personalized web means this is more true than ever. Brands, and their advertising partners, must wake up to this challenge and define themselves with clarity, consistency and authenticity. Otherwise they just might find themselves shouting in a ghost town.” - Simon Mainwaring

“Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience.” - Paulo Coelho

“A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst and it sparks extraordinary results.” - Wade Boggs

Modern-Day Luxury in Peoria, Arizona

by Nate Martinez

Modern-Day Luxury in Peoria, Arizona

Located in the much desired gated enclave of Copper Creek Estates, this gorgeous new home has everything that today’s luxury home should have. With a meticulous eye for detail, the builder has created a modern-day flair of grace and elegance in every room throughout the 5,810 square foot design nestled on an acre home site.

The floor plan includes three bedrooms on one side of the home with a large utility room that has adjacent access to the oversized four car garage and the backyard. Each bedroom has its own private en suite bath and custom built-in closets. Bathroom finishes include gorgeous Crema Vosscione limestone flooring and countertops, and knotty alder wood interior doors. In this wing of the home, there is also a large recreation room and powder room.

You will enter this home through a large unique steel and glass double front door, into a massive 24x28 great room with fireplace overlooks the gourmet kitchen with views of the manicured landscape, and seamlessly flows to the backyard living space through a beautiful panel of glass that disappears into the wall making the large covered patio and outdoors seem as one.

In addition to a cozy eat-in nook at the kitchen, there is also a walk-in pantry with custom shelves, and a traditional large formal dining room, which opens to a lovely courtyard and outdoor fireplace. Complete with a ceiling that has been painted a unique metallic gray glaze with two large beautiful glass chandeliers. There is a Butler’s pantry adjacent with a large wine bottle glass refrigerator for endless entertainment and fine dining. There is an elegant barreled ceiling hallway that connects the master bedroom wing to the secondary bedroom wing.

Throughout the home you will find only the best amenities were selected, including the amazing exotic Provenza African Plains wood floors, which are made of sustainable wood products, hand scraped and hand distressed. At the gourmet kitchen you will find name brands such as a Wolfe appliance package that includes a sub-zero refrigerator and separate freezer, under the counter microwave, double wall ovens and a gas range cooktop with French hot plate for the chef inspired. The counters are a brown Serpeggiante marble and the kitchen island is made of quartz, all of which add to the modern-day flair.

A split master bedroom concept leads us to the other half of this beautiful home. Here you will appreciate the well-thought-out design which features a den or home office with a private patio, and access to the formal powder room, which has been included for the entertainment side of the house.

Just a short walk down the expansive hallway (for the art enthusiast), is the master retreat which has a cast concrete fireplace and a modern-day-spa vibe in the bathroom. Dual vanities with opal white marble counters, freestanding soaker tub, two water closets, and an amazing walk-in shower adorned with an opal white marble bench. The 14x14 closet includes its own washer and dryer hook ups and a gorgeous chandelier. It should be noted that the seller is providing an allowance for a custom designed master closet.

Easy passage to the outdoor living is a key element to this home, and the master bedroom is no exception. A large patio wraps around to the main patio from the master bedroom, creating the perfect compliment to the well-appointed master retreat. Situated on an acre home site, the outdoor amenities are just as grand as the interior. Perched above the main grounds overlooking the house, the 14x20 Ramada, with its own fireplace is the perfect place to entertain with views of the impressive pool and raised spa. An extensive use of Travertine throughout the outdoor living areas, plus there is a pool bath, outdoor refrigerator and a built-in BBQ.

Lush green grass surrounds the entertainment areas, at both the front and backyards. The large driveway was designed for plenty of plenty of guest parking. Exterior features of the home consist of both concrete tile and standing seamed steel roofing, real stone, and decorative wood work at the patios and overhang features for a unique and fresh look. With all these amenities, and a well-crafted floor plan, it’s easy to see why this home is modern-day luxury at its finest – right here in Peoria, Arizona. Nate's Monday Morning Message

by Nate Martinez

Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Welcome to this week’s edition of Nate’s Monday Morning Message! I trust that many of you are enjoying Presidents Day so far. While it’s great to have a reason to skip work, today is an important day in our American tradition. Presidents Day first began in 1800, the year after George Washington died. People mourning the Presidential leader, celebrated his birthday which was February 22nd and later it became an official holiday in 1879 and a federal event in 1885. Today we honor all 44 presidents of the United States, but noting the two greats: George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. If it weren’t for our founding fathers and their vision of America, none of us would be here today. However you chose to spend your day off, I hope you’ll reserve some time to honor what it is to be an American. Let’s make it a great week!

Nate's Monday Morning Message

by Nate Martinez

Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Did you know that Saint Valentine wasn’t just one person? Welcome to this week’s edition of Nate’s Monday Morning Message and happy Valentine’s to you! In honor of the day of love, I thought I’d share a little history about the most romantic day of the year.

According to historians, there may have been two or three people who played a part in creating what we now know as Valentine’s Day, but the most historic is Saint Valentine who is said to have died on February 14th. During that time, there was a ban on marriages, as the reigning Emperor Claudius II believed that marriage distracted young soldiers. Saint Valentine felt differently and would secretly marry couples, until the day he was caught. After he was sentence to death, young couples would visit his cell, bringing him cards and flowers. There is another version of history that claims one Pope who only served 40 days in 827 A.D. may have been Saint Valentine.

It wasn't until about the 17th century that people started exchanging cards and letters and Valentine’s Day became a well-known holiday in the 1840s. Today, millions of people symbolize their love on February 14th with candle, flowers, gifts…it is important to remember the spirit of Saint Valentine, whoever he was. Love is about defying the odds and fighting for what you truly want...even if it meant death in the case of Saint Valentine. Isn’t that an ideal we can apply to more than just one area of our lives? Let’s make it a great week!

12 Things Happy People Do Differently

“I’d always believed that a life of quality, enjoyment, and wisdom were my human birthright and would be automatically bestowed upon me as time passed.  I never suspected that I would have to learn how to live – that there were specific disciplines and ways of seeing the world I had to master before I could awaken to a simple, happy, uncomplicated life.” -Dan Millman

Studies conducted by positivity psychologist Sonja Lyubomirsky point to 12 things happy people do differently to increase their levels of happiness. These are things that we can start doing today to feel the effects of more happiness in our lives.  (Check out her book The How of Happiness.)

1.) Express gratitude.
2.) Cultivate optimism.
3.) Avoid over-thinking and social comparison.
4.) Practice acts of kindness.
5.) Nurture social relationships.
6.) Develop strategies for coping.
7.) Learn to forgive.
8.) Increase flow experiences.
9.) Savor life’s joys.
10.) Commit to your goals.
11.) Practice spirituality.
12.) Take care of your body.

Nate's Monday Morning Message

by Nate Martinez

Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Welcome to this week’s edition of Nate’s Monday Morning Message. I hope this email finds you enjoying the beauty of Mother Nature, and the cooler temps. Today, I want to talk about the unpopular topic of forgiveness…not something most of us like to think about, however, forgiveness is essential if we desire to live a life of abundance. I read something yesterday that I am inspired to share, which is a unique and different way to look at forgiveness.

If you look at your life, your relationships, your past experiences, we all have something that we need to forgive. And if we look deeper, how is holding on to that pain serving you in your current situation? Sometimes we hold on to something painful because we don’t know any other way to cope, and we get so comfortable in the pain, that we truly don’t know what it means to feel good again.

To give…to forgive is to give, not only to those around you but most importantly to yourself. To give…freedom from the pain and sadness, to give renewed joy, to give love…to forgive is to give (you fill in the blank). Instead of feeling as if forgiveness means you forget or you let someone off the hook for hurting you, think of it as a gift…to yourself. Who do you need to forgive first? Let’s make it a great week!

ENOURAGEMENT CORNER

The Weight of the Glass

Once upon a time a psychology professor walked around on a stage while teaching stress management principles to an auditorium filled with students.  As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they’d be asked the typical “glass half empty or glass half full” question.  Instead, with a smile on her face, the professor asked, “How heavy is this glass of water I’m holding?”

Students shouted out answers ranging from eight ounces to a couple pounds.

She replied, “From my perspective, the absolute weight of this glass doesn’t matter.  It all depends on how long I hold it.  If I hold it for a minute or two, it’s fairly light.  If I hold it for an hour straight, its weight might make my arm ache a little.  If I hold it for a day straight, my arm will likely cramp up and feel completely numb and paralyzed, forcing me to drop the glass to the floor.  In each case, the weight of the glass doesn’t change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it feels to me.”

As the class shook their heads in agreement, she continued, “Your stresses and worries in life are very much like this glass of water.  Think about them for a while and nothing happens.  Think about them a bit longer and you begin to ache a little.  Think about them all day long, and you will feel completely numb and paralyzed – incapable of doing anything else until you drop them.”

The moral:  It’s important to remember to let go of your stresses and worries.  No matter what happens during the day, as early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down.  Don’t carry them through the night and into the next day with you.  If you still feel the weight of yesterday’s stress, it’s a strong sign that it’s time to put the glass down.

“Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness.” - Marianne Williamson
