Welcome to this edition of Nate's Monday Morning Message. I hope that each and every one of us can make sure that we always keep our eyes of opportunity open. We must never be afraid of taking that chance to better ourselves and our families. If we approach each opportunity with the proper mindset of hard-work, passion, and dedication than all the other pieces will fall into place eventually. I would encourage you to hold your hand out to help another person in a tough situation, or make a friends or a stranger’s day just a little easier, or just be a little bit more supportive in every situation. You never know when that door of opportunity will open. Make sure you are standing there when it does and please don't be afraid to walk through it. Let’s make this the best week of the year!

For years, Arizona has been a prime destination for golf, posh resorts, fine dining and all the sunshine you can soak up. What if I said, you could own your private resort, right here in Glendale, Arizona? Just For Today!

1.   Just for today I will be happy.  This assumes that what Abraham Lincoln said is true, that "most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be." Happiness is from within; it is not a matter of externals.

2.   Just for today I will try to adjust myself to what is, and not try to adjust everything to my own desires. I will take my family, my business, and my luck as they come and fit myself to them.

3.   Just for today I will take care of my body. I will exercise it, care for it, nourish it, not abuse nor neglect it, so that it will be a perfect machine for my bidding.

4.   Just for today I will try to strengthen my mind. I will learn something useful. I will not be a mental loafer. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration.

5.   Just for today I will exercise my soul in three ways;  I will do somebody a good turn and not get found out. I will do at least two things I don't want to do as William James suggests, just for exercise.

6.   Just for today I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress as becomingly as possible, talk low, act courteously, be liberal with praise, criticize not at all, nor fault with anything and not try to regulate nor improve anyone.

7.   Just for today I will try to live through this day only, not to tackle my whole life problem at once.  I can do things for twelve hours that would appall me if I had to keep them up for a lifetime.

8.  Just for today I will have a program. I will write down what I expect to do every hour.  I may not follow it exactly, but I will have it.  It will eliminate two pests, hurry and indecision.

9.   Just for today I will have a quiet half hour all by myself and relax. In this half hour sometimes I will think of God, so as to get a little more perspective into my life.

10.   Just for today I will be unafraid, especially I will not be afraid to be happy, to enjoy what is beautiful, to love, and to believe that those I love, love me.

If we want to develop a mental attitude that will bring us peace and happiness, here is rule # 1: Think and act cheerfully, and you will feel cheerful.

Think about successful people in business, sports, entertainment, your neighborhoods, etc. Why is it that some people achieve more than others? Well, there are lots of reasons! The biggest I believe is the determination to do it. All successful people have gone through struggle and adversity and they found ways to break through. Regardless of where we are today let us find a way to break through it. Be very specific on your goals and put that plan together and stop wasting time. Be that success story people read about and talk about in the future. Be that role model people look to for guidance. De the person you are meant to be. Let's make this the best week of the year!

How much time do we spend being proud of all that we have accomplished so far or thankful for all the blessings we have? My Dog Can Walk On Water

There was a hunter who came into the possession of a special bird dog. The dog was the only one of its kind, because it can walk on water. One day he invited a friend to go hunting with him so that he could show off his prized possession. After some time, they shot a few ducks, which fell into the river. The man ordered his dog to run and fetch the birds. The dog ran on water to fetch the birds. The man was expecting a compliment about the amazing dog, but did not receive it. Being curious, he asked his friend if the friend had noticed anything unusual about the dog. The friend replied, “Yes, I did see something unusual about your dog. Your dog can’t swim!”

Blood Drive for Baby Trenton

Blood Drive for Baby Trenton 

RE/MAX Professionals is hosting a very special Blood Drive, in honor of Baby Trenton who was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect known as, Double Outlet Right Ventricle with a third of his heart blocked. Baby Trenton lost his battle at only 4 1/2 months old when he died on October 7th, 2013. His family has vowed to keep his memory alive by raising awareness about heart defects that impact newborns every day.

In an effort to help Baby Trenton's family and the many families who face similar health challenges, we have put together
a Blood Drive on Saturday, March 15th at our Surprise office location. All monetary donations will go directly to the Phoenix Children's Hospital in memory of Baby Trenton. We will provide lunch for our donors and we hope you will help us spread the word about this very special event. Welcome to this edition of Nate's Monday Morning Message. We start another week full of opportunity and challenges. It is up to each one of us what we make of both. Are we going to seize all of the opportunities that are before us and do with them all that we can? Are we going to take each challenge one at a time and find a way to turn it into a positive experience? I say YES to both and hope you do as well. The upcoming week will be what we make of it. Start today and each day forward with this mindset and watch what you can accomplish. I am here to help in any way I can so just ask. Now, make the most of it!  


Think About this

Should you find it hard to get to sleep tonight;
Just remember the homeless family who has no bed to lie in.

Should you find yourself stuck in traffic; don't despair.
There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work;
Think of the man who has been out of work for the last three months.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad;
Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend;
Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week, for -15.00 to feed her family.

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance;
Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror;
Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking "what is my purpose";
Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

Remember, things could be worse. You could be them!!!
