Nate's Monday Morning Message

Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Welcome to Nate’s Monday Morning Message! This week, instead of me writing I thought I would share an article that was written about Matt Aitchison, one of the men who was on my trip to Vietnam. Please take five minutes to read this interview; he is an amazing young man that did not let his past determine his future and has a determination that personally I find inspiring. Click here to read.

After you read this interview about him, I would encourage you to check out his podcast at Millionaire Mindcast. It’s loaded with great interviews and content to help you become what you what to become, regardless of your profession. Every day we must work on creating a better "ME" so we can impact lives and help make this world a better place. Let’s make it a great week!

ENCOURAGEMENT CORNER

Our Greatest Fear by Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Nate's Monday Morning Message

Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Welcome to Nate’s Monday Morning Message! Over the last two weeks, I had the honor of visiting Vietnam with a group of amazing men. When the idea was first discussed several months ago, I felt a pull to go for several reasons, but the two most important reasons were the two men I looked up to as a young boy, my brother Ramon and my brother-in-law Benjamin.

Both this fine men served our country, and fought in Vietnam. They were forever changed from their experience, and both died young from complications related to their time in Vietnam. They left as young men and returned as causalities of war, baring scars from a conflict I am sure they never really understood.

I wanted to see first-hand the country that changed the course of their lives, and I was able to visit some of the war locations while I was there. It was a bit surreal and humbling, and to imagine what they may have experienced. I wish they were still here for many reasons, but now, I would love to talk to them about where they served in Vietnam.

They were my role models as a kid, and a part of me wishes they could be here to see the life I have lived, because of their influence, and because of their ultimate sacrifice to our country. My challenge this week is simply put: don’t wait. If there is something you want to experience, a place you want to visit or a loved one you need to call, don’t wait. Every moment in life is precious. Let’s make it a great week!

Nate's Monday Morning Message

by Nate Martinez

Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Welcome to Nate’s Monday Message! Yesterday was a day of remembrance for many of us, myself included. As I reflect back fifteen years ago, I had a busy morning planned. We were preparing for our very first meeting at RE/MAX Professionals; we were officially opening our doors on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Frank and I were excited to present our agents with the vision of our company, and the goals we had set. This was it; our big day.

In between the morning meetings, I caught a waitress with tears in her eyes. Naturally I had to ask her why she was crying and that is when I learned a plane had hit the world trade center. As our agents filtered into the restaurant, the shock and panic was obvious, but I really had no clue the magnitude of what was happening.

In the midst of national chaos, we were able to band together and fifteen years later, I am still humbled and grateful. Our country stood strong, and so did the small group of agents who were the very first to be a part of RE/MAX Professionals. Each year I thank this group of agents, because without them we may not have been able to build one of the strongest real estate companies in the Valley. We have been able to help thousands of families since September 11, 2001. Today, RE/MAX Professionals has over 200 affiliates, and Frank and I couldn’t be more proud.

As we begin our week, please take a moment to remember the first responders, our armed services, and all the men and women who lost their lives on that tragic day. Let’s never forget.
