Nate's Monday Message

Welcome to this edition of Nate's Monday Message. This week is a great week to work on our focus. We have spent weeks and months working on coming up with the things we desire and a plan to achieve our goals. Now, we must zoom in to the tasks we will need to accomplish to achieve those desires and goals and that will require complete focus. Most of us are good at focusing on tasks at hand when we do them one by one and if they don't take very long.

We run into a challenge when the tasks must be done over and over again and for a long time. This is where our focus must be strengthened and our true desires must be solid. If you desire to have better relationships - focus on being more present in the moment with those people. If you desire more confidence - focus on your self-image and the great things you have to share. If you desire more money - focus on continually doing the tasks you identified that will produce revenue and not the mundane of running your business. Focus is a differentiator. Lots of people can come up with a plan. Lots of people have desires. The challenge for many is the focus needed to do what is needed day after day without getting thrown off track. Make it a a great week!

Where we place our focus, the rest of our mind and emotions will follow. So how do we learn how to do this focus stuff? One of the quickest ways to begin to strengthen your focus muscles is to practice the 5%/95% rule. That means to focus no more than 5% on what you don't want and 95% on what you do want.

Focus 5% on what you fear 95% on getting educated and skilled to face it.

Focus 5% on the problem 95% on the healthiest solution.

Focus 5% on the mistake 95% on learning from it.

Focus 5% on who to blame 95% on making sure to heal.

Focus 5% on what you must do 95% on enjoying the process of it.

Focus 5% on the conflict 95% on the win-win-win resolution.

Focus 5% on what you can't control 95% on what you do have control over.

Focus 5% on what others say 95% on what you believe.

Focus 5% on what you have 95% on what you want to have.

Focus 5% on reading this 95% on applying it.

“One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.” - Tony Robbins

“You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.” - Mark Twain

“Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work at hand. The sun's rays do not burn until brought to a focus.”Alexander Graham Bell

“My success, part of it certainly, is that I have focused in on a few things.” - Bill Gates

Let’s make this the best week of the year! Nate
