Nate’s Monday Morning Message

“The best way to get something done is to begin.” Welcome to the first Monday Morning Message for 2017! This statement might seem a bit simple, but when it comes to lasting change in our lives the first step is just to begin –from where ever you are, with whatever you have. You may not have all the tools necessary, the physical strength or perhaps the money you need to…but each time you take a step or an action in the direction of your goals, you are affirming your commitment to the bigger picture, and eventually those missing elements will appear in your life.

While many of us focus on setting new goals this time of year, I would also encourage you to take inventory of what you accomplished last year. If you set goals for yourself, what were they and how well did you do to achieve them? Maybe you had a goal that didn’t get done but you achieved something else that was even better. In order to move on to the next set of goals, it is important to reflect and celebrate what we accomplished in 2016. This process is an important step in creating lasting change in our lives. Don’t rush on to the next big thing, without first giving yourself a well-deserved pat on the back for the great job you did in 2016. Let’s make it a great week!
