Nate’s Monday Morning Message

“You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind.” - Joyce Meyer…welcome to Nate’s Monday Morning Message! I know it can be easy to get swept up by the negativity that surrounds us, and if you look hard enough, there is plenty to see. However, the same can be said for looking at the bright side of challenges and stressful situations.

You cannot expect to live a fulfilling and rewarding life if your mind is constantly filled with negative thoughts or beliefs. This week, I would like to challenge each of you to shift your thinking and focus on the positive…go a day without complaining…write down the things you are grateful for at the beginning of the day, and again before you go to bed at night. Notice the difference, and how many more positive and wonderful experiences that start to happen in your life. Let’s make it a great week!

Because First Impression Matter

This week in Pickerington, Ohio an 18-year-old Grant Kessler dressed up in a suit and tie to meet his newborn niece. At first glance, you might think Grant was on his way to a job interview, but he was headed to the hospital to meet Carter Kay for the first time.

“When Carter’s older, I want her to look back at the pictures of the day she was born and see the respect and attention she was getting that day.” Grant told NBC affiliate WCMH-TV. “I think me wearing the suit was a small part of that.”

Grant’s 16-year-old sister laughed at her brother, but Grant simply told her that “first impressions matter.” She tweeted out the sweet sentiment along with a photo of Grant, and the post has racked up more than 450,000 likes in just a few days. The family is blown away by the response they’ve gotten, and they are looking forward to sharing the memories of the day with Carter, and reminding her how much she is loved.

First impressions, do indeed matter.
