Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Welcome to Nate’s Monday Morning Message! I came across the piece I am sharing below and it has inspired my thoughts for this message today. What if I had my life to live over? What would I change? What would I do better, or different? Then I realized, I don’t have to wait until I am old and facing the end of my days to ponder the thought or regret the life I have lived. I can begin today. I have the choice. And so do you. If you had to live your life over, what would you change? Let’s make it a great week!

If I Had My Life to Live Over

If I had my life to live over, I'd dare to make more mistakes next time.
I'd relax, I'd limber up.
I would be sillier than I've been this trip.
I would take fewer things seriously, take more chances, take more trips.
I'd climb more mountains, and swim more rivers.
I would eat more ice cream and less beans.
I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I'd have fewer imaginary ones.
You see, I'm one of those people who lived seriously, sanely, hour after hour, day after day.
Oh, I've had my moments, and if I had it to do over again, I'd have more of them.
I've been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a thermometer, a hot-water bottle, a raincoat, and a parachute.
If I had to do it again, I would travel lighter than this trip.
If I had my life to live over, I would start going barefoot earlier in the spring, and stay that way later in the fall.
I would go to more dances, I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies.

“Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen... yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.” - Bradley Whitford

“Smile in the mirror. Do that every morning and you'll start to see a big difference in your life.” - Yoko Ono

“In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.” - Abraham Lincoln

“To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funny bone.” - Reba McEntire

“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” - George Bernard Shaw
