Nate's Monday Morning Message

Welcome to this week’s Monday Morning Message. It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just a little more than a week away, when the temperature is supposed to break the records at 88 degrees today! The holiday season isn’t always the merry delight we see in the movies, and I know that many of you reading this find the season hectic and financially stressful. Below are a few tips to help you navigate this year so that you can enjoy the time spent with friends and family. Let’s make it a great week!

10 Tips for Surviving the Holidays

  1. Keep your regular routine.
  2. Think moderation.
  3. Be realistic, try not to expect the “ideal” holiday.
  4. Stay connected.
  5. Throw guilt out the window.
  6. Don’t be alone, if you don’t want to.
  7. Focus on today, not yesterday (or last year).
  8. Just say no.
  9. Ask for help.
  10. Be good to yourself.
