Nate’s Monday Morning Message

Welcome to Nate’s Monday Morning Message! Today we are reminded of a man who left a massive mark on the world, and started a movement that has forever changed the lives of millions of people. I am inspired by MLK Jr. and his tenacity despite the obstacles he faced. He never waived from his goal and his message, even from a jail cell in Alabama. We can learn a lot from his commitment to the outcome, and be reminded that “faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” Let’s make it a great week!

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Letter from Birmingham City Jail, 1963

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” I Have a Dream, 1963

“Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.” Letter from Birmingham City Jail, 1963

“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.” Martin Luther King, Jr.
